Super rugby Aotearoa week 3 review:

The third week of the competition has been affected by the weather but the rugby n show was still class.

Blues vs Highlanders:

This game started of and in the first 10 minutes I thought the Blues were going to run away with the win. To my surprise and I think allot of people’s the Highlanders held on and just did not let go or go away until the very end. The Highlanders team really suprised me and I think that they are a good team the only thing they need to learn is how to win games like the one on the weekend. The Blues on the other hand was unstoppable an if they keep there form I think they will even be the favorites against the Crusaders. They should just give carter some game time. That will just increase their debt at ten and they will be able to find if he is still game ready.

Crusaders vs Chiefs:

I did not watch this game only the highlights. I also read Gatlands interview and some of his remarks post match. I agree with him that the Crusaders try that came from a quick line-out should not have been allowed. The ruck previous to the lineout the Crusaders player did not role away and then the ref was speaking to the Chiefs while the Crusader took the quick throw in. The Crusaders though where the better team on the day and did still deserve the win.

Week 3 wrap:

There were lot less penalties awarded this weekend and the commentators aid that it is because the players adjusted. If you watched the games and the previous ones you would have seen the players are still playing the same game the referees were just less strict. I believe that this is the better way to ref the game and it made the games faster I just want the referees to come out and say that before the game because that is why the Chiefs are mad not because the referee is less strict just because they think the same should apply like in the first two weeks and it did not.
