Super rugby team of the week round 5:

Props:

Ox Nche: He had a great game and even though he did not dominate the scrum like he usually does he still had a very good game he is a very good running prop and adds to the Sharks’s attacking structure as well as their defense. His stats: Meters-5, Carries-2, Passes-1, Tackles-9, Turnovers won-2.

Gus Bell: He had an outstanding game and there was no other prop that run the ball as well as he did this round. If he keeps up this form they might pick him on center next week. His Stats: Tries-1, Meters-52, Carries-5, Defenders beaten-5, Clean breaks-2, Passes-2, Tackles-9, Missed tackles-1, Penalties conceded-1.

Hooker:

Asafo Aumua: Although he only played against the Suwolves he had an outstanding game and made a lot of running meters for his team on attack. His Stats: Meters-58, Carries-4, Defenders beaten-2, Clean breaks-1, Passes-2, Offloads-1, tackles-1, Line out throws-5,

Locks:

Guido Petti: He is one of those players that shows week in week out that size is not the only thing that matters in rugby. His stats:Tries-1, Meters-28. Carries-7, defenders beaten-2, Clean breaks-1, Passes-2, Tackles-8, Line out won-8, Line out steals-2, Penalties conceded-1.

Tom Staniforth: He was not the best lock the week, but he impressed me a lot and that is why I am including him in this team. His stats: Meters-3, Carries-4, Defenders beaten-1, passes-5, offloads-1, tackles-16.

Loos Trio:

Sikhumbuzo notshe: This guy is really starting to impress me since he made his move to the Sharks and he got into my team this week even though he deserved it a couple of times now. His stats: Meters-52, Carries-8, Defenders beaten-5, Clean breaks-1, Passes-3, Offloads-1, Tackles-10/10, Turnovers won-1.

Dylan Richardson: Yes I have gone with another of the Sharks and wow I mean it is the first time he had a run this season and did he put his hand up for selection. Just check dis defensive stats. Stats: Tries-1, Meters-7, Carries-9, Defenders beaten-3, Clean breaks-1, Passes-2, Tackles-22/23, Turnovers won-3, Penalties conceded-1.

Dalton Papali’i: He had a great game and was one of the key reasons why his team was able to get the victory at Newlands. His Stats: Tries-1, Meters-35, Carries-3, Defenders beaten-2, Clean breaks-2, Passes-2, Tackles-3/4, Turnovers won-2, Penalties conceded-1.

Halfback:

T J Perenara: He has had a good game he is not quite at his very best form, but he is getting there. His Stats: Tries-1, Meters-35, Carries-7, Defenders beaten-3, Clean breaks-3, Passes-35, Tackles made-1/2, Kicks-2, Penalties conceded-1.

Flyhalf:

Matt Toomua: He might not have the best stats at 10 for this week, but I believe that he was the reason the Rebels was so dangerous and the reason they won the game. His stats: Meters-28, Carries-9, Defenders beaten-1, Passes-19, offloads-4, Tackles-6/12, Turnovers won-1, Kicks-19, Conversions-4, Penalties conceded-1.

Centers:

Ngani Laumape: I don’t think that you can pick anyone else than the centers of the canes they both had amazing games and cut the Sunwolves to pieces. His stats: Tries-1, Meters-99, Carries-13, Defenders beaten-3, Clean breaks-3, Passes-14, offloads-2, Tackles-2/3, Turnovers won-1, Kicks-3, Penalties conceded-1.

Vince Aso: I already spoke about him he was amazing and I don’t understand why they play him so little. His stats: Tries-1, Meters-120, Carries-11, Defenders beaten-7, Clean breaks-6, Passes-15, Offloads-2, Tackles 1/1.

Back three:

Cobus Van Wyk: He made his debut for the Cannes and wow did he impress I believe he will get a bit more game time after that performance. His stats: Tries-3, Meters-72, Carries-9, Defenders beaten-4, Clean breaks-3, Passes-4, Tackles-4/2.

Chase Tiatia: Another player that stood out for the Canes and if they are able to get these players playing like they did against the Sunwolves they will become a very dangerous team. His stats: Tries-2, Meters-79, Carries-9, Defenders beaten-5, Clean breaks-4, Passes-14, Offloads-1, Tackles2/2, Penalties conceded-1.

Joe Marchant: He was moved to the wing and that was the call of the week by any coach moving him to the wing gave him a lot of space. His Stats: Tries-2, Meters-55, Carries-5, Defenders beaten-3, Clean breaks-2, Passes-2, Tackles-1/2.
